For most STI tests, no special preparation is needed. However, for urine tests, you may be asked to avoid urinating for at least an hour before your appointment. Our providers will give you specific instructions if any preparation is required.

Results are typically available within a few days to a week, depending on the specific tests performed. Some rapid HIV tests can provide results in 20 minutes. Your provider will inform you how and when you’ll receive your results. All results are completely confidential.

If you test positive for certain infections, we will guide you through the next steps, including treatment and informing partners if needed.
